Postdoc - Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology
A Postdoctoral Position is available in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Wright State University School of Medicine to study the DNA replication checkpoint and cell cycle regulation in Dr. Yong-jie Xu’s lab. The successful candidates will lead the research projects to investigate the molecular mechanism of the DNA replication checkpoint primarily in fission yeast, an established model organism for studying the cellular mechanisms that are conserved in humans. Our research utilizes a variety of techniques, including yeast genetics, protein biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, and genetic analysis. The ideal candidates will be highly motivated to both support ongoing research in the lab, and to work independently. For more details about the research, please see https://people.wright.edu/yong-jie.xu . Recently graduated doctoral students in protein biochemistry, molecular/cell biology, or genetics are welcome to apply. Experience with yeast...
