Postdoc - Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology

A Postdoctoral Position  is available in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Wright State University School of Medicine to study the DNA replication checkpoint and cell cycle regulation in Dr. Yong-jie Xu’s lab.  The successful candidates will lead the research projects to investigate the molecular mechanism of the  DNA  replication checkpoint primarily in fission yeast, an established model organism for studying the cellular mechanisms that are conserved in humans. Our research utilizes a variety of techniques, including yeast genetics, protein biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, and genetic analysis. The ideal candidates will be highly motivated to both support ongoing research in the lab, and to work independently. For more details about the research, please see https://people.wright.edu/yong-jie.xu . Recently graduated doctoral students in protein biochemistry, molecular/cell biology, or genetics are welcome to apply. Experience with yeast genetics is preferred b

Two group leader positions, Neuroscience Center, Uni Helsinki

The University of Helsinki, Finland, is a vibrant scientific community of 40,000 students and researchers. It is one of the leading multidisciplinary research universities in the world. It is currently investing heavily in life sciences research.  The Neuroscience Center  is an international research unit within Helsinki Institute of Life Science (HiLIFE) (www.helsinki.fi/hilife/nc). The mission of the Neuroscience center is to advance fundamental discoveries in neurosciences to understand how the brain gives rise to complex behaviors in health and disease. The research groups at the institute operate across  several scales in the areas of systems and cognitive neuroscience, circuit neuroscience and physiology, neurobiology and molecular neuroscience, and neurogenetics and stem cell research.     The Neuroscience Center  invites applications from outstanding candidates for   2 GROUP LEADER positions  The positions are initially for five years with a possibility for a four-year extensio

Digital Green Talents Award 2024

Closing date for applications: 15/05/2024 How can we create good and healthy living conditions for everyone worldwide when global climate change is challenging today‘s economy and way of life? How can digitalization contribute to a more sustainable future? The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) promotes the Digital GreenTalents – High Potentials in Sustainable Development to find solutions to these urgent issues. The BMBF is looking for 20 highly motivated and talented young scientists from all over the world with innovative ideas and a strong focus on digitalization and sustainable development. The Digital GreenTalents Award supports the international exchange of innovative digital ideas to harness the power of the digital age for sustainable development. It offers a great chance to establish a long-lasting cooperation with the German Digital GreenTech community. What does the Digital GreenTalents Award 2024 include? • Fully funded research stay in Germany 2025

Assistant Professor or Higher

Assistant Professor or Higher Department of Molecular and Translational Medicine Center of Emphasis in Infectious Diseases  The Department of Molecular and Translational Medicine in the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso is accepting applications from highly qualified clinician-scientists or scientists for a Faculty position in the Center of Emphasis in Infectious Diseases (CoEID).       Researchers in the CoEID focus on key areas of border-population health, particularly research in influenza, vector-borne viral illness (ex. West Nile), and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The center has a vaccine development program that is attempting to generate mucosa vaccines against ordinary seasonal infections, but also against infectious agents that might be used as biological weapons. Our faculty is also instrumental in training the next generation of biomedical research scientists through the TTUHSC El Paso L. Frederick Francis Gradu

About the team/job EMBL is Europe’s life sciences laboratory – an intergovernmental organisation with more than 110 independent research groups and service teams covering the spectrum of molecular biology. It operates across six sites in Heidelberg (headquarters), Barcelona, Cambridge, Grenoble, Hamburg and Rome. Our mission is to perform basic research in molecular biology; train scientists, students and visitors at all levels; offer vital services to scientists in the public and private sectors within the member states; develop new instruments and methods; and engage actively in technology transfer. The group of Arnaud Krebs (EMBL Heidelberg) is looking for 2 post-doctoral candidate (s) (computational and experimental) to develop ERC and DFG funded projects aiming at understanding the molecular mechanisms used by transcription factors at enhancers to activate transcription. The Krebs group at EMBL studies the mechanisms used by Transcription Factors to interpret the regulatory gene

Postdoctoral position in autophagy, cell/molecular biology, cardiovascular pathophysiology, cancer

Are you passionate about inter-disciplinary research in molecular biology and medicine? Want to be a part of National Institute of Health and American Heart Association funded studies at the intersection of cardiology and oncology, disease mechanism and therapy, and join a collaborative and supportive team environment at the heart of Boston, U.S.A.? A  Postdoctoral Research Fellow  position (2 years, extendable beyond that)  is available in the Molecular Cardiology Research Institute (MCRI), Tufts Medical Center, Chen laboratory.  We investigate the impact of autophagy, a cellular degradative and recycling process, on the heart and tumor utilizing state-of-the-art autophagy imaging technology (Nat Biomed Eng. 2022 Sep;6(9):1045-1056).   We are passionate about optimizing autophagy modulation as a viable therapeutic strategy that is translatable (PLoS One. 2023 Mar 16;18(3):e0282859).   Our experimental approaches include: in vitro cell models, molecular biology, high resolution intravi
